Crist giving up on McCreep in Florida, which could go blue!
I thought this was a hoot! Florida may seriously go for Obama and the Repig governor would rather go to Disneyworld rather than a McCreep rally...

For the first time in more than a decade, Florida Republicans are considering the almost unthinkable: Their presidential nominee could lose the state.

The economy, an unpopular president, a strong opponent, and the inability of John McCain to reverse poll numbers despite repeatedly revising his strategy has top state Republicans looking for someone to blame. ''There are a lot of folks who have never been in a foxhole before and are clearly nervous,'' said Brian Ballard, a major McCain fundraiser. "There is some finger-pointing going on a little bit too soon.''

Even Gov. Charlie Crist, who helped deliver Florida for McCain during the primary, said he will spend the final weeks before Election Day minding the state's weak economy rather than campaigning for the Arizona senator.

''When I have time to help, I'll try to do that,'' Crist said last week, after he flew around the state with McCain running mate Sarah Palin. Saturday, he skipped a McCain football rally and instead went to Disney World.

1. Crist, you should have been minding the state before now. His governorship
has been one big piece of crap. There are entrenched congressman and GOP people in orlanod Feeney, Keller that are FREAKING out. Since crist seems to be downplaying the state the internals must be horrific.

I wonder if Crist will show for that.

I think he is a genuine moderate, so let's be happy that strong dem showing gives folks like him and other moderates more "cover" to be bipartisan.

8. I was wondering about that
Wasn't there speculation that his announced engagement was a ploy to make him more appealing as McLoser's VP candidate?
(He got a beard)
Is his engagement off now?

Charlie or Bristol.

10. He is covering his own butt. He does not want to upset the Dems
that voted for him. He is not willing to stick his neck out for McCain if his supporters are not leaning that way......

13. Crist Coming To My County Soon. He's Not Happy About Nancy Detert
who is running for state Senate either. How I want Morgan Bentley to take this one!! But I guess Crist will "play along" and stand with her! I'm told Bentley has just polled ahead of Detert, but he's never run for an election before, but he's simply charisma personified!!

We are having a VERY HARD time with our down ticket candidates because there are RARELY any Democrats running in this county!! There are 22 this time, which is phenomenal!! We have been hitting hard for Barry Sullivan for Supervisor of Elections... we are the county that lost all those votes in 2006 and KATHY DENT is disgusting, JUST horrible IMO!

And then there's Christine Jennings who ran against Vern Buchanan last time. He supposedly won by 369 votes, but 18,500 were never found here. This time out, an old rival of Jennings is pulling a "Lieberman" and running as NPA against Jennings. So even thought at this VERY MOMENT, Buchanan has at least FOUR lawsuits against him, by his own employees, and about 180 in the past, because of JAN SCHNEIDER, Jennings has an UP HILL climb!

Seems SCHNEIDER would rather Vern Buchanan win as a Repuke, than put her "personal" feelings behind her. I WAS a SCHNEIDER supporter in the past, but her name is MUD to me now. Jennings switched from Repuke to Democrat and is probably a conservative Democrat, but she does have a "D" behind her name. Besides is Buchanan wins this time, he will be entrenched for the next time out!

BEST FOR LAST!!! This County looks to be going BLUE for Obama, he's ahead now in this very, very RED county! And if I were betting... FLORIDA IS GOING BLUE TOO!!

14. Well up until now Crist was not aware of the fact that Disney World was actually in Florida

He has been taking all these trips to California and as soon as he found out that they actually had opened a small operation in Florida he thought it was important that he mosey down there to give them some help.

16. Maybe he's pissed that McCain didn't offer VP spot to him
Just looking at his resume, he's a million times more qualified than Palin.

18. This is what happens when you pick an idiot over better qualified people as your VP
Why should he continue to work hard for McCain?
