A different view of the Bradley Effect/
About a week ago, on PBS evening news.. Shields and Brooks were giving their opinions, and the host brought up the Bradley Effect.

Shields who had worked on the Bradley campaign in 1982, brought up a different take on the Bradley Effect/ This was literally the beginning of the Reagan political scheme that had fully ripened into Karl Rove and his utilization of the religious right and the absentee ballot.

And those of us old enough to remember, remember the push starting at the school board level to get all republicans in positions of power and influence at the period.

This was also the start of that gigantic early voting push that we have learned how to utilize. Well the polls for Bradley, right up to the day of election had him a number of points ahead, but as we all know he did not win the election

Well what I did not know, is that he actually won the vote on polling day. Where he lost the election was the absentee ballots that the republicans had pushed so hard for.30,000.

So those people who were polled two days before the election and said they were going to vote Bradley.. DID!
