in the campaign of 2000, the 2002 midterm, the 2004 campaign and 2006 midterm campaign I received may phone calls from DEMOCRATIC phone banks, most robo-calls to ask me to vote for ______ a dem.
It's annoying but not unexpected - most of the time the message is on the answering machine (one machine talking to another) and I hit the delete button - in the evening, if it's a robo-call I hang up.
It's that time of the year - and the robo-calls have started - but here's the kicker
I'm getting robo-calls from REPUBS, at first I thought maybe it's a screw-up on a phone number - but our neighbors on the street, who are and always have been Dems, are also getting the robo-calls
Last week: Wednesday - 2 obama bashing robo-calls Thursday - 2 obama bashing robo-calls Friday - 3 obama bashing robo-calls, 1 call from Robo ed rendell telling me about Biden-Clinton being in Scranton on Sunday Saturday - 4 obama bashing robo-calls Sunday - 2 robo-calls bashing obama, and 1 from a live person wanting to give us tickets to the palin event in scranton at some point this week. My partner answered that call, and said "NO FREAKING WAY" to the free ticket offer
looks like a sign of desperation to me
