Amazingly, Wolf Blitzer is parroting McCain's talking points
I know, it's hard to believe. But he's doing it in the guise of playing devil's advocate for his guest: "Obama wants to raise corporate taxes at a time of recession; McCain wants to lower those taxes." Etc. :puke:

Blitzer just said: "These new proposals unveiled by Obama today, they're not going to be cheap."

4. Bill Clinton raised taxes during a recession, and gave the US...
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 03:38 PM by Eric J in MN
...great economic growth.

George W. Bush lowered taxes, and that didn't turn out so well.

9. No! No! No! You don't understand at all!
The prosperity of the Clinton years was due entirely to the fruition of Reagan's policies.

The absolute economic collapse of the Bush years is due entirely to the fruition of Clinton's policies.

Likewise, any economic prosperity that occurs during President Obama's first or second term will be entirely the result of Bush's tax cuts for the super-wealthy.

8. What if their stories were reversed?
Here is an interesting way to look at it which clearly shows the media's bias
against Obama.

What if the candidates lives were reversed?

What if John McCain were a former editor of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said "I do" to?
What if Obama were the candidate who left his crippled first wife after she no longer measured up to his standards?

What if Michelle Obama not only became addicted to pain killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5?
What if McCain were a charismatic, calm, and eloquent speaker?

Educational Background:

Obama: Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Biden: University of Delaware - B.A in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Versus:

McCain: United States Naval Academy – Graduated number 894 out of 899

Palin: Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester

North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester

University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

PS: What would Fox News say if Barack Obama had an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter (e.g. Palin’s daughter)?

10. I can't watch him ...
It is like he has a quota when he is on the air - the number of times he has to say "GOOD conservative" or put problem in the same sentence as democrat.

He is like the terminator, he NEVER stops. He is subtle with it, that if you are just a casual political viewer, you might not notice, but if you are any kind of an active D, the guy has to make you want to pull your hair out.

13. Well, it "wasn't cheap" to give the fat cats their $800bn+ bailout, was it?
Ergo, it's not going to "be cheap" to come up with the revenues to cover such expenditures.
