My take on why McCain had to go there and why he will not be going there again.

The obvious nastiness that has been cheer lead by McCain and Palin at their recent campaign rallies tells me that McCain is afraid that his base will not show up on election day.

He knows that many of these folks bought into Rush Limbaughs argument, earlier this year, that McCain is somehow a liberal.

Now the base of the Republican party is about as pig shit ignorant as it could get. These folks see ignorance as a virtue and wear it on their sleeves as a virtue. The more ignorant, the better.

It is just this simple, McCain had to go to the dark side to get these people scared as to make sure that they will come out and vote for him.

Now that McCain has accomplished this, he can claim that he really isn't like that and can now take his campaign in a new direction.

The only problem with this strategy is that McCain has dipped his hands into the shit and he now has the stench of that shit all over him. People have formed a lasting impression about McCain over this, and not the good kind of impression either.
