Bob Casey Jr. has seriously impressed the hell out of me especially with his work for Obama!!
This has got to be the best oneliner by ANYONE during the presidential election and it comes from a guy I always thought to be kinda dull:

"You can't call yourself a maverick if all you've been for the last eight years is a sidekick,".

I remember 2 years ago fighting to defend Casey with his attempts to get election because yes, Casey is pro-life. But I call him pro-life because this guy will care about the fetus after it's born (plus Casey's policies are not as as harsh as his predicessor Rick Santorum - heck Casey is ok with Birth Control and EC). Outside of Choice, Casey has been one of the more liberal democrats in the senate and even opposed activist judges appointed by Bush.

So just a shout out to a guy working his tailbone off since before the convention to get Obama elected. Great job Bob!

3. He's pro life, isn't he?
That's going to be a pretty difficult hurdle to overcome with democrat women. Unless its one of those 'I'm personally oppossed to it, but think it should be legal' type deal.

5. Bummer
I hope not.

Maybe it's your second theory. Isn't that the way that Joe explains himself, that his Catholic beliefs say it's wrong but he can't impose that on the rest of the country....something to that effect.

If he in fact is ardently anti-choice I wouldn't be able to support that.

But now that I think of, isn't Casey anti-choice? Maybe who that is who you are referring to in the first place?

6. I meant Casey
His dad had problems in his political career as well because he was anti- abortion.

I'm not against having someone that's pro life as a democrat nominee, exactly. Again, it just depends if they intend to enforce that on anyone else by appointing conservative judges. If its a personal thing, its not a big problem.

8. In Pennsylvania Casey beat Santorum by 19pts - you have to look at the big picture
Casey's stance on choice is not as harsh as republicans. He oppose abortions (but ok in case of rape/incest/woman's life) and he is ok with birth control, EC and actually teaching our kids sex education. But the most important think is when that fetus becomes human, Bob Casey is still working to make this a better place for that child. Because he is a dear friend to the unions and fighting for health care coverage - Bob Casey gets it.

Women of Pennsylvania realized that the stance Casey has on Abortions was a much better choice than Rick Santorum. And the name Casey is GOLD in Pennsylvania.

And finally, I was watching a few votes on some activist judges that Bush nominated - Casey opposed them. Mind you these are judges that are activists in many areas and not just choice, but Casey sees the big picture that these are not acceptable judges to have on the bench.

4. Yep first candidate I gave money to.

Well someone asked me on a street in Philadelphia do you want to get rid of Santorum and I said YES YES I DO than gave them $100.
The credit card bill was to Casey's campaign so I didn't get ripped off but my hatred for that man got me to give $100 to a stranger on Philly street corner.
