we should investigate those who work against democracy.....by funding voter suppression efforts.

those are the REAL anti-americans.

think about it: we have ONE party that has, for decades, worked tirelessly, spent millions to DENY the right to vote to our citizens.

so, yeah, Ms. Bachman, lets investigate every republican for being anti-american and anti-democracy.

2. Yes....K & R.
Let's begin by investigating the entire NeoCon ideology! Let's see how their brand of authoritarian government really compares with the democratic premises on which this constitutional republic were founded. Let's compare that to the "enlightened and liberal" vision of America advanced by Washington and Jefferson. (The words enlightened and liberal were used quite often by them, by the way.) I'm all for that. In fact, I would say "why has it taken you so long?"

4. I don't think you want to go there.
Investigating voter suppression efforts?
Go for it, I'm all with you. Let's lock up anyone who committed a crime.
Saying anything at all even remotely sounding like "investigating anti-american republican member of congress"?
You're on your own, Bucky!

It makes you sound like as much of an idiot as Bachman is...

7. The big problem: How does one define "anti-American"?
Edited on Wed Oct-22-08 07:59 AM by elias7
What is the crime?
What are the parameters for investigation and judgment?
What is the role of the first amendment in all this?
