I just saw the full "Obama talks to Joe the plumber" clip, and it struck me how engaged Barack was. He talked for quite a long time, offering details, really trying to explain his whole line of reasoning. Obama does not seem like someone who lets his economic advisors just write up a plan for him; he has clearly had his hands in there as well. I also remember seeing a clip of Obama (maybe in that behind the scenes video?) personally rewriting parts of his convention speech - he clearly doesn't just want to read whatever speech his staff put in front of him without thoroughly vetting it.

He doesn't just want to be a figurehead - he wants to work!

i just marvel at how this guy has run his campaign. always classy and tries to stay positive. he is smart, handsome and capable. i don't have a favorite. i do like the black family role model that he and his wife display and their little pda's. i can't wait to see them in the white house with their puppy.

He friggin' LOVES people. He would rather be physically swamped by a crowd of random Americans than anything! He has such faith in this country (even being Black) and loves it so much!!!

His mother must have been the Premier Mother of the World, since she raised a person who is so secure in himself, so sure of himself, and so happy that he can do whatever he wants to do. And this is with abandonment by his father! For that to have had no negative impact on him, his mother must have been THE SHIT!!111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
