Tagging Obama et al "Liberal"
I was just thinking, I've heard more than a few ads decrying Obama and his "liberal allies" or whatever, now if it's geared to the base, as I assume it is, why is it that the DNC/Obama campaign don't cut ads calling out McCain and his "Conservative allies" or warning about the GOP "radical agenda"? If that's red meat for their base, wouldn't it be red meat for ours?

I'm NOT saying this to encourage that kind of campaigning, I'm just noting that it says something about the respective campaign tactics of the two parties. Time and time again, from state and local to national elections, the "Liberal" boogeyman is thrown around by mainstream sources, with no corresponding "Conservative" scare word.

Are we too classy for that, or is this a "center-right" country and we're trying to be the big tent party and not offend anyone?

1. I don't think a lot of Amurkins really give a shit about labels anymore
Calling somebody a "liberal" does not have the sting it carried a few years back when people could actually afford things like homes cars and political distinctions.

I honestly believe everybody should strive to be "liberal" as it is defined in the dictionary.

But then, it would also be good if we were "conservative" as that also is defined in the dictionary.

3. Maybe this will finally lead to the end of the "liberal as a dirty word" mentality.
