Sleaziest...Nominee...Ever
John McCain, you have no scruples at all, do you? You continue to jump all over the misstatements of others but dismiss your own. Pay no attention to your own screw-ups, you say, only those of the Obama campaign. You circle like a shark over the first sign of blood, like Sen. Biden's recent statement. Then, in the next breath, you tell the people of western Pennsylvania that they're all racists. No Freudian slip, I don't think anyway, but more likely just another sign that you're tired and arguably mentally erratic...you do tend to say this kind of thing over and over and over. (Based on that, which John McCain could we count on when the phone rings at 3 am...the one that says what he means, or the one who says just the opposite?)

Bottom line, though, is that everybody deserves some slack, and if you're not willing to afford it to others then you have no basis whatsoever expecting it from anyone else. As Keith O. might say-- in one of his special comments-- "to expect such a double standard reveals an even greater flaw in your personality, Senator, a basic dishonesty that undermines your qualifications to hold any public office!"

(End of rant. Hey, I feel better now!)

p.s. To be honest, I wasn't too thrilled to see Obama running robocalls either. (Neither was my spouse.) Let's stay on the high road please...please? You're better than that!

1. I wonder how this compares to voter purging?
Not sure about the harm of the robo calls, push polls. Here in Wisconsin, we are awaiting a judge's confirmation today as to whether or not John McCain's co-chairman of the wisconsin rep. party ,Attorney General Van Hollen, can enforce his standards for who can be considered eligible to vote.

2. He's still second to Reagan, but not for lack of trying.
Reagan kicked off his presidential campaign by paying homage to the murderers of three Civil Rights activists and telling the South they were right to fight segregation any way they could. McCain can't beat that. But he's giving it a shot.

3. There *can* be robo-calls that aren't filled with lies.
They're still annoying, but they don't have to be vile and false. Unless they're from Republicans.
