McCain surrogate says it is outrage for Obama to use 767 jet to "visit grandma"
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 10:54 AM by Roberto1223
His name is Brad something and Shuster was just laughing at him. This Brad a-hole was defending Palin's $150,000 Wardrobegate and attacking Obama as "spending money like a drunken sailor". It is shocking how unhinged these people have become! :wow:

What do they want him to do, start flying on commercial flights? I'm sure the press and secret service would love that.

Obama is very likely going to be president elect of the USA in a few days, and they want him to start flying on commercial flights? That's insanity.

39. So, how does that work with a Secret Service detail
and a small press pool? Does this nitwit really want to get people to start looking at McCain's* jet usage? Or Palin's? Did her preggo daughter fly home on a commercial flight? Did Levi come to the convention on a commercial flight?

Yes, let's open this can of worms when the AP reported just yesterday that Palin used taxpayer money to fly her children around Alaska.

40. I am not outraged either. And for all we know, Obama may be footing the bill for using the plane
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 11:26 AM by DeschutesRiver
it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. If I were Obama, and needed to pay someone to fly me to Hawaii to visit a sick relative, why wouldn't I pay for my campaign plan to do so, instead of paying American Airlines or such to do it? I'd imagine anytime for the last year or so that Obama wanted to do anything personal, he would have been smarter to pay to take his own campaign's plane; commercial flight becomes a logistics nightmare once you run for office. Is he supposed to walk everywhere? But that gets outside of the point of who said he wasn't paying for his flight there?

Has this Brad douchebag even addressed the issue of how he knows that Obama is or isn't reimbursing the campaign for this use? Is Obama going to combine visiting his grandma with campaign business?

Did this guy address any of that? Or just say, because he is flying on the plane, he must be charging his donors for it, like Ms. Palin is?

You need to correct to your subject line, Blakeman didn't say "sick" - he said: "visit grandma" and that Barack should be "humping his bags on a commercial plane". Holy Moly it was a vile sentiment. I'm still slightly nauseous.

I nominate Brad Blakeman for tonight's Worst Person in the World.
