While the msm is focusing on Biden's "gaffe" ~the Obama camp calls him Reggie Jackson
During the very same weekend of the famous remark, Biden attracted large crowds and was a draw at a series of fundraisers that brought in $8 million.

Inspite of his gaffes, Pew research just gave him a 60% favorability rating and
in an Oct. 15 Bloomberg/Los Angeles Times poll, 76 percent of registered voters said they believed Biden was prepared to be president.

Now about the Reggie Jackson part:

Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Joe Biden is the Reggie Jackson of presidential politics this year.

Jackson is the Hall of Fame baseball player who was known as ``Mr. October'' for always delivering for his teams when the stakes were highest, during the World Series played in that month.

In the last six weeks, Biden, 65, has emerged as one of campaign's greatest strengths.

Biden ``is a huge asset,'' said Tad Devine, a Democratic media consultant who advised both Al Gore and John Kerry during their presidential runs in 2000 and 2004.

So let the msm and the right wing wackos focus on his gaffes ~ Biden is knocking it out of the park for his team.

18. Great, no - but damn good when it counted.
In the 1972 WS, it looked bad going in for my Oakland A's - Reggie was out with a torn hamstring (suffered scoring the winning run in the ALCS), and one of their top relievers was out with an arm injury.
So little-known catcher Gene Tenace rises to the occasion, hitting homers in his first 2 World Series at-bats (first player EVER to do that). He went 8 for 23 in the Series, with 4 home runs, to earn the World Series MVP Award.

10. Notice how Obama and Biden have no problem looking and smiling at each other?
You don't get that much from McCain and Palin.

McCain is busy looking at Sarah's legs, or chest, or butt and playing with his...... wedding band.

11. What was the gaffe? I've searched but can't figure it out,
as everyone refers to it, but no one reiterates. Thanks!

14. The "gaffe" was that he stated the obvious truth, that...
a new president will be tested by international events and by enemies or potential enemies. Every new president is tested. It's just CorpoPravda making shit up to call it a "gaffe."

13. I still don't understand the "gaffe"
Biden said Obama would face a manufactured, international test. So what? Of course the international community will test our new president, no matter who it is.

Biden also said the international community is "going to find out this guy's got steel in his spine."

So let's review ... Biden said there would be an international test and he implied that Obama would pass with flying colors. Where's the freakin' gaffe?

In any case, I'm glad the Obama team is not taking the "gaffe" nonsense seriously and they still believe in Biden. :-)

Go Joe October! :D

16. The problem with the msm is they forget to repeat the part where Biden said that Obama would pass
with flying colors.

They cherry-picked his words to make it a story.

15. Thanks Pirhana.
I think Joe really helped Obama shore up support in PA. He really connects to the blue collar voters well. Obama gets along well with him and they never have come off as uncomfortable with each other. Not surprising about the lack of chemistry with Phalin and McLame...he only met her twice (the first time for 15 minutes) before he picked her. Dumb move.

19. Biden could say "the sky is blue"
And some reporter would point to a cloud and scream "gaffe!" It is just part of the bedtime story they are trying to sell the American public. And this time, people are saying, "you know what, I don't give a F**k what he supposedly said. I'm voting for Obama!" It is driving the press and repubs nuts.

22. I think what's driving the wackos crazy is how no one is calling Biden's remarks
a gaffe - other than the gopers.

They know what he said is true and know that any new President will be tested and that people prefer Obama to handle the next crisis.
That said - personally - I wish he didn't say it. He changed what people are talking about, and that's never good so close to the election.
