Four PA polls out today - Obama leads by 10, 11, 12, and 13
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 01:40 PM by thesubstanceofdreams
SurveyUSA: O 53 M 41 (+12)
Big10 Battleground: O 52 M 41 (+11)
Morning Call tracking: O 51 M 41 (+10)
Quinnipac: O 53 M 40 (+13)

When 4 polls are so consistent, it's unthinkable that reality is far from this.
This on the state that McPalin has admitted is an absolute must win for them.

22. I absolutely expect another "fixed outlier" poll next week
Heck, I expect more than one. If they can't sell a closer race, they can't fix it.

15. Won't happen.
The bulk of the population of PA is in the metro areas and they always carry the state. They track Democratic this year (and most years).

10. So could people stop posting that thing about Obama's internals showing him only 2-pts up
From what I've heard there are not any current plans for O to return to PA and he is concentrating on red states from here on out.

11. Obama is acting as if the election is won already

He's campaigning to help downticket races and try to create a landslide.

13. Not really, he is always reminding people of "New Hampshire"
for us not to forget that he was expected to win there and lost. But I do feel he believes PA is safe.

16. OMG!!! In what order were the polls taken?????
If Quinnipac finished polling first, then SurveyUSA, then Big 10 Battleground, then Morning Call, then we're DOOOOOOOMED! It means we dropped from +13 to +10 in the span of a few hours! If this keeps up until Election Day, McCain is going to win by 237%!!!!!

:sarcasm:

20. According to another
post, PA has voting machines that can't be verified so I think that Obama will probably lose PA due to election fraud.

21. If this continues look for the McCain campaign to stop talking
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 03:04 PM by Two Sheds
about their Pennsylvania push early next week. If they can't make inroads independent of their pollsters, they'll have to drop that narrative because it will make it seem like they really have no options. If they don't and Obama cruises to a win in PA, it could affect late GOP turnout on 11/4 in places like NV and ND. In which case Obama can pass 270 without FL, OH, NC, MO and VA.
So what will they do? Perhaps we'll hear them talking about New Hampshire and pulling one EV out of Maine in hopes of a really narrow win or a tie (not that a tie would do them any good).
