I hate this calling people Rachel "haters" for differing and being concerned that her message is too hard to listen to right now.

I am quite aware of all the pitfalls. I am tired of her being more considerate of Pat Buchanan, racist, than she is of our Democratic leaders.

25. Okay, now I got it. I commented last night that if she gave Joe Biden

a fraction of the time she dedicates to Palin's ugly rallies, and "Joe the Plumber", I would be ecstatic. Poor Joe Biden gets no love, not even from the "progressive" side of the dial.

17. I thought her effort to 'leverage' the left into getting Obama into a more ideological

rigid position the week before a General Election was sophnmoric and she will look back and regret it.


KO obliterated her point by saying that the way to defeat conservatism is to defeat conservative candidates.


Obama's landslide election is going to send the Republican party into chaos and a great civil war.


Obama doesn't need any lectures (and yes her question was in fact a partronizing point).


She may have thought she was burnishing her 'leftist' credentials but she made herself look like a rookie.


But she is a rookie and she is smart and I am sure that she will learn and get better. Just as Obama is not perfect she is not perfect and today was embarassing for her.

Obama wasn't about to embark on an ideological conversation five days out from the election. Rachel accepted the swerve gracefully. I think she misunderstood why, but that's okay.

Her probative questions allowed him to elaborate on his worldview which I find fascinating. Dan Rather agreed, so I think that absolves me from being accused of pulling that out of my arse.

Rachel is kicking ass at MSNBC and I will support her in the endeavor whether I agree with her or not, and that happens from time to time. That's not a problem for me.

She is also admittedly anxious and I don't begrudge anyone that suffered through the 2000 election of having sweaty palms about now.
