We missed it last night because we wanted to see Barack and Bill in Florida.

I saw these people in this program and I thank God for what I have.

I am very blessed. I am very blessed that I met my husband when I did and that he was financially stable.

I wasn't so much. I was living w/ my best friend in the East Bay in SF and didn't see a way that I could ever afford my own home or move back to my beloved San Francisco.

I'm lucky. Not so much for so many others.

I could have been a selfish prick and not care about others, but having known what it's like to struggle day in and day out, there is no way I could turn my back on others.

The Bush years have been horrible for all of us. Even if I have not seen .... until the last year ... my own pocket booked trashed, but I've seen my country trashed. I've seen our young people killed in war. I've seen our fellow americans die in NOLA while a heartless prick of as "president" eat cake w/ the current GOP nominee while americans died. I've seen the rights of my gay sisters and brothers put up as a political tool and now am fighting for my marriage to stay legal.

In the past almost 2 years, we've fought, screamed, insulted each other but yet have joined hands, hugged, kissed and stood back up as one to fight for our nation. For that I will always be proud.

We are on the edge of possibly the greatest victory in many of our lives. I will say it again. I am blessed.

I love you guys all very much. You have held me together since the dark days of 2001. We're gonna win. We, with Barack Obama are going to change this country. We, with Joe Biden are going to change this country. We, with a Democratic congress and senate are going to change this country. We, my fellow Hillary Clinton supporters have dusted ourselves off, been hugged and hugged our fellow Democrats and are standing as one. Standing as one to fight for a better nation.

We will be all blessed Obama is our president.

I love you all.

Ronny

7. The perfect line.
That is so funny. The hubby and I were just quoting lines from that movie.

"Don't expect me to go to your church. Probably make me eat a live chicken."

"NOT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT!"

"Very good, spoken like a true smart ass."

12. I knew you'd get that reference :D
Here's some more:

The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize

Truvy: Well, these thighs haven't gone out of the house without lycra on them sice I was 14.
Clairee: You were brought up right.

I'm not crazy, I've just been a very bad mood for the last 40 years!

Somebody's gonna have to explain this to the Alaskan governor. I have a feeling that she would be very very confused and frightened if she read this. She might even need some therapy.

Seriously though it was great it made me think of the time my when my mom was still around and all the shit she went through.

11. It's a good time to be a Democrat.
We've waited so long. The nightmare of the past eight years is almost over. Now we go about the business of putting America back together again as we see it.

State by state, starting with petitions to the ballot to state law that Obama will stand behind: Marriage equality is the next frontier in civil rights coming to fruition.
