Wonders never cease...my hard-core Republican step father is voting Obama
"I'm just sick of the Republicans. I can't take it anymore."

I almost fell over backward. This guy is as GOP as the come. Or at least, he was. And he lives in Florida, no less. Sweet.

2. Some of my old old friends, cradle Repubes
whom I wouldn't be friends with if I met them now, a month ago we were arguing politics in bitter acrimony, I was ready end our friendship over it, was avoiding them ... and now they're (reluctant) Obama voters. It's a beautiful thing.

3. Too cool, Atman
Lets hope there are tons more like him. Maybe some of them will even switch parties after seeing a successful Obama administration.

4. I converted one of them.
Or Bush did, anyhow.

Mr. D. ..yep, MY mister D. was raised Republican, and actually voted for Bush in 2000.
Mostly out of loyalty to his deceased grandfather, I believe.

Other than that, Mister D. is a most wonderful man.
He has moved from refusing to discuss politics with me to watching KO, Maddow, and voting Dem.

Only took me 6 years to bring him around.

Hell, even my dog is Democrat.
Of all the telephone poles, hydrants, street signs, bushes in the neighborhood,
he lifted his leg on a McCain sign.

We are very proud of him.
