Is this election getting close enough to steal ??
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 10:49 AM by kentuck
I will not rest until this battle is over. I cannot bring myself to believe all the polls that we see every day. In my opinion, this race is very close. It will go right down to the wire. That is the reality that I operate within...

2. It would be strange if we made huge gains in both houses...
but not in the White house.

6. Yeah, that would be a bit odd...and as the days wear on with
McCain making virtually no gains, it's getting harder and harder to believe.

3. All elections are local
So yes, if enough localities are close to 50/50, and are rigged with caution, and the rigging is successful, the elction could be stolen.

The solution is turnout, to overcome any 'bugs' that tabulate the vote 'incorrectly' in favor of McCain. Work on GOTV and you'll help the nation AND sleep better at night.

4. I don't know the key battleground states are looking good
Obama is well ahead in states like NM, CO, NV, IA, VA--all states that went Bush in 2004. He's ahead in Ohio in most polls and Florida in some polls. He's leading in NC and within moe in Georgia, Missouri and yes, even, Arizona.

5. Yes
The GOP will probably get wiped out nationwide. But yes the race is going to be close. A 5 pt lead for Obama in the national polls means a long night for all of us. The good news is that we have no thing to lose. We can only gain seats and the white house.

The bad news is that if its close, they can steal another one.

8. If they steal it
it will be in PA and IA.

I believe there is no early voting in either of those states and McCain/Palin have been spending an awful lot of time there despite (from their perspective) dismal poll numbers.

9. I think you are wrong about IA and early voting.
Yesterday's SUSA poll says 32% of their respondents voted early and Obama is up 69-29 in this group.

10. Actually,
early voting in Iowa either ends today or did a couple of days ago. My point is, Iowa had early voting.
