Obama must be pretty confident about PA
AFAIK, he's not going to PA over the next few days, despite McCain's intention to practically camp out there. I can't help but believe that Obama would plan on campaigning in PA again if he felt he was vulnerable there.

1. I hope he's right, because both PA and OH make me nervous,
despite our lead in the polls.

9. Well Obama is going to be in Ohio.
Obama is going to be in states like Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, probably Virginia and NOrth Carolina and Indiana--states that McCain needs. So while McCain is trying to steal PA from us, we have a bunch of his states that we are trying to steal. A case can be made that Obama can still win the election w/o PA, but McCain can't win w/o taking PA and then he still needs some of the red states that Obama is strongly contesting.

3. Just holding rallies isn't enough...
Hell half the time I don't know when one of the candidates is in my state unless it is really nearby...and I pay attention...

Advertising and ground game are much more important...and from what I hear Obama has a significant lead in those two areas.

4. I think going to states like like Iowa, N.C. and N.H. over PA is kind of crazy but I I'm no expert

10. I don't think his schedule for the next three days includes
eeither NH or NC. I do know he's going to Ohio, CO and NV. And he's in Indiana now. Those are good choices.

11. Why? Every poll practically shows Obama with a double digit lead in PA
meanwhile states like NC, Indiana, CO, NM, NV, VA, MO--all red states that Obama either leads in or is tied are getting Obama's time (Ohio, too)--these are states that McCain needs as well and if Obama takes a few of them there is no way McCain can win even if he pulled an upset in PA. No, it makes perfect sense that Obama is in real battle ground states. Let McCain bluff his way thru PA tomorrow if he wants to.

6. The polls look pretty good. I just hope they are accurate.
People are saying all sorts of things about PA. I trust Obama's judgment. He wants to get FL in the bag.

I just wish he'd come here to AZ. Nothing would make me happier than to see a rally in Phoenix, here in McCain's hometown.

20. Despite a few "outlier" polls and the McCain camp's claims, he's got about a 6 point lead, maybe 8
points.

A hell of a lot better then where Kerry was, and Bush had a hell of a lot more resources to work with than McCain.

21. McCain does seem to have camped out here, alas
they even opened up an office in a very liberal part of Pittsburgh. It was really weird. It's one lonely guy with a boatload of signs in the window.

There have been a few rallies here with his wife, well-known local bands, and local Dems. Also I think Clinton was in Washington County here the other night.

It's kind of odd, the Reps are blitzing the airwaves and sending out slime mailers to Dems - so they must think they have a shot. But the polls keep saying otherwise.... it's rather odd.
