Will older Repub voters in western Pennsylvania stand in line for 4+ hours to vote?
Over the months we've heard how Pennsylvania is a state with many older voters. I remember Chris Matthews mentioning it a lot during the Primaries.

So far, the weather looks good in that area for next week until Friday. But since the whole state votes on Election Day, I wonder how many will stand in long line to vote. Especially if the polls show Obama ahead in PA.

I suppose that the elderly qualify for absentee ballots. But I haven't seen discussion about the number of those ballots being requested. So I'm wondering about all this today.

1. Will there be long lines in Western PA?
Aren't the long lines usually in the urban areas?

3. Yes, since the state votes on one day and Dems are turning out in huge numbers all over

5. there's really not long lines in the burbs and country booths
they usually have 6-10 booths for at the most a few thousand people who filter in throughout the day. It's the city areas that have only 20 booths for 400-500 (guessing) people showing up an hour at peak times!

9. sure I do, that's a big city, they'll be some long lines but the truly ill or handicapped
who wouldn't stand in long lines will probably already have voted absentee and such. Yes, there's a lot of people who will stand for a few hours regardless, for McCain and Palin, but really, a majority of McCain backers who vote will only stand in line for an average of 20 minutes we'll find out - whereas Obama voters will stand in line in average of an hour - I hope someone does a study on it.

6. They mainly vote absentee ... like older voters nationwide
I don't think they're going to be as affected by
bad weather or long lines on Tuesday.
