Does Chris Matthews discuss anything but Race when it comes to this election?
Cause that is all I hear from him.....

In addition, he keeps trying to say that McCain was "fairly" honorable while running this race....
and he says this over and over again.

But yet, right before that segment, I had just seen a Rev. Wright Ad by Some Republican 527.

I'm trying to figure out what this is all about.

I don't like Chris Matthews because of his lack of sensitivity. He talks as though nothing he says doesn't affect other folks, when it does.

Him and his Hard working White folks, his obsession on race throughout these elections, and his worship of John McCain and excusing him for everything will never allow me to respect Chris Matthews ever again, regardless. It is possible he doesn't realize how racist he sounds, even when purporting to support Barack Obama....but then that makes him more ignorant than he realizes.

1. He must've been raised in one of those PA "ethnic Catholic" neighborhoods...
...where race continues to be a big deal.

2. He came of age during the turmoils of the '60s... it's all he knows

Those of us under 45 years old don't think of race in the same terms that Matthews' generation does.

Boomers had race in their faces during their "formative years"..... we did not.

It's hard for them to get past it.

3. He's a reflection of his times.
He and others our age are fascinated by the change in the racial dynamics of the country. Many are constantly amazed that the ideals they " claim " to believe in are actually coming to pass. Our children and grandchildren refuse to participate in the baggage of yesterday, and gives you a glimpse of why so many fought so hard against integration & civil rights.
