You guys are hilarious--if you disagree with everything he says, why do you watch his show every morning?

3. I turned it on for about 10 minutes this morning...
...while Fred Armisen & Darrell Hammond were on. That was all I could stomach. I used to watch it until about 3 weeks ago. Since then, I've vacillated between CNN & Comedy Central.

4. Oh gee MOM, I would prefer that the cable channels I PAY FOR be more balanced.
The right already have FOX 24/7, it's not much to expect balance from the rest of the M$M. :(

7. Oh, come on. You'll be tuning in to watch Tweety, Keith, and Rachel Maddow later...
...as will we all. But nothing says you have to watch the network RIGHT NOW.

5. No shit Bicoastal
I read on DU everyday how much people steam, hate, loathe, get pissed off at Joe Scarborough. Yet tomorrow morning it seems mass amounts of DUers tune in and start the "I hate Joe Scarborough" threads all over again.

What the hell is it? I haven't seen that show in months. It is easy. I don't walk into my TV room and turn it on.

8. YOU DON"T GET IT! I normally don't watch those shits.
I watched Fox n Fiends as well as Morning Schmoe since we are on the eve of an historic election with a decent lead.

I felt it was my civic duty to start a thread earlier discussing the outrageousness that passes for morning news and commentary on that show. Believe me, after watching a bit of that show on election day and the day after....I'll be steering clear of all cable news again for a LONG time.

9. Argh.
I threw my shoe at the TV when Joe said the CBS polls are an "outlier for democrats" then went on to the Mason/Dixon polls.

12. No kidding. I don't buy the "we need to know what the other side is doing" argument, either.
I'm not at all nervous about tomorrow, and I think a large part of it is that I actively avoid idiots like Joe.

13. 'Cause they love spreading the misery
As if there isn't enough stress in this election - some lazy bastards who sit in front of the TV all day instead of working or canvassing have to ruin our day as much as humanly possible.

14. Some of us believe in watching all the news channels.
The fallacy of your post is that it assumes people only watch news with which they agree, or that people should only watch those news shows with which they agree. That is both impractical and unwise.

The news is what the news talkers say it is, and ignoring a channel is ignoring part of the media mix.

Complaining about the spin seen on such channels is logical and natural. When we see things we agree with, such as Keith or Rachel, we say so. When we see something we hate, we say so.

There are no GOOD choices for news in the morning. There's the idiots at Fox News. There's Morning Joke and his crew of RNC shills, and there's CNN, which can be all over the map. Watching any one of those shows is often a matter of having clicked off the other channels. It's the least offensive channel we watch mostly in the morning, and it changes throughout the morning.

Being informed means listening to people we cannot stand saying things we abhor.
