5. The House does vote, but they do it state by state

Each state delegation votes, and the election is decided by who gets the majority of states. We should win that, too, though it isn't totally certain since some representatives might feel pressured to vote the same as their district.

Twlefth Amendment.

The House chooses the president, with each state delegation getting one vote. A majority must be achieved, so 26 votes are required. It's the 111th Congress that votes, not the 110th (current). They choose from the three top electoral vote getters.

The Senate chooses the Veep, with a majority being required.

10. It goes to Congress, as per Article II Section 1 and amendment XII:

if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.

Short version: The vote in the House is done on a state-by-state basis, each state having one vote. As Democratic Members of the House dramatically outnumber Republicans both in the number of Representatives and the number of states fully or mostly controlled by Democrats, Obama walks away with it, easily.

Edit: I should add that the Senate chooses the Vice President, but with each Senator voting individually.
