A Road to 60 Senators
Nixon had 3, at least, Cabinet appointees who were tokens. Romney, the Gov of Alaska, and I cannot remember the third. They were totally ignored and denied access to the oval office. A couple even made a big deal of it before they resigned. But if President Obama made 3 appointments like that, Republican Senators in states where a Democratic Governor could appoint the replacement, we would then have 3 more Senators and could kiss JoeMentom off the reservation forever.

It's definitely something they'll be looking at.

Unlikely any Repukes would take them up on it tho.

7. As long as were engaged in wishful thinking...
...I'm wondering how possible it might be for a couple of moderate Republicans to jump ship and switch party affiliation.
