good sane analysis on Charlie Rose - talking about Pennsylvania -
Fellow from the Phila Inquirer said McCain's choice of Palin killed him in suburban Philadelphia.

Charlie Cook and Adam Nagourney and Matt Bai - good discussion - making a balanced set of statements:

1. Obama is a great candidate and ran a great campaign (so it isn't just that McCain lost or ran a lousy campaign - but they agreed that McCain ran a lousy campaign).

2. Economic crisis - economy was bad anyway, and it was not a Republican year, but the way McCain and Obama handled it (one erratic, one presidential) was a big deal for people.

3. Debates. Obama shown and performed in a way that he became presidential and trusted for many.

4. Bush's failures stuck to McCain.
