How were the GOTV operations in your area?
I said in a post yesterday I felt Obama's GOTV operation here in Tucson was so good that it switched my opinion and I thought he had a real good shot at winning Arizona.

But I'm interested in hearing about the other areas of the country. It seems to me that Obama's campaign has really gotten after it and their ground operation is awesome.

1. Well I was not part of any GOTV thing here in CO.....
But I had about 5 people drop by my house for the Obama GOTV over the past couple of days so in my opinion it was pretty good here. Tens times better than McCain, he has an absolute horrible ground game going, no one from his campaign stopped by my house, I never got a call from them either or an e-mail.

9. Pa - an ABSOLUTE Blitzkrieg !
I live in one of those "central" Pa counties, and I am an active dem who is kind of territorial about my precinct - people here kind of know me, and expect me to make the rounds every year.

First, our CENTRAL Pa county has THREE office, THREE, the most we have ever had is two, most often one. And, our main office is H U G E, and old utilities office, and rumor has it the biggest office in the state. Our county party is working with the BO campaign, and his campaign funded the office in great part.

I got a walking list prepared by one of the BO volunteer cooridators - broken VERY neatly into four areas with maps that had markers at each house. I dropped my lit Saturday at all my precinct house.

This is no lie - I was on the phone Sunday with another BO volunteer coordinator who was making sure I was ready for poll watching today when my wife came into the kitchen to give me a BO/Dem door hanger reminding us to vote - there are SO MANY volunteers, they had two woman from another party of the county come BACK THROUGH and put the door hangers on the same doors I lit dropped a day earlier.

I stopped by the two biggest offices yesterday, and there were so many people coming in out of the blue, in addition to those who had already committed, that they were sending volunteers to other counties.

Yesterday and last night, we got three phone calls from REAL PEOPLE making sure we were going to vote.

Folks - THIS is a revolution american style!

4. Pretty good - in NY!
There are phone banks to volunteer at conveniently located around the area, but that's not necessarily local GOTV, of course. I've gotten several recorded calls reminding me to vote or where to go to help. What was even more was that we had a doorknocker. We're in an extremely safe state, although our county is just barely blue. Obama's got our electoral votes but the GOTV effort can only help the downticket races. It's much more than I've ever seen before.

7. If Obama wins NC
It's over. I don't see any plausible way McCain can win, it'll be landslide proportions. Good to see it's going great there.

10. I'm praying Wetzelbill. Our little county is expecting 2000 people to turn out at 13 precincts
I'm not sure about the rest of our state but I'm sure they all expect a HUGE turnout today, even with the stinky rain.
