daughter fill in the "footballs" on my ballot and feed it into the optical voting machine. Number 412. It was hard for me not to get choked up thinking how this may (will!) be the most historic election she will ever see in her life! The poll worker even gave her her own "I voted" sticker, which she wore to school!! I'm really proud of her.
my 12 yr old dtr is home sick today with a fever for the second day in a row. :( Plus, we're hosting a long-planned Election Night celebration party tonite at our home for 25 peoplel.
Sigh....

On the drive home I got all choked up thinking about what this election will mean to him and his life. He is mixed race, just like Obama. I just can't put into words what it means to him to have someone who (as he says) "looks like me" running for POTUS... especially someone as wonderful and gifted as Obama.
