Hahaha I got a BIG chuckle while waiting in line to vote!
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 10:08 AM by SunsetDreams
I got there and there was a huge line out the building and down the sidewalk. I have never seen that in Oklahoma EVER! GOBAMA!!
Anyway, I stood in line and pretty soon, this woman came bouncing up the sidewalk with a McCain/Palin button on. I knew that it wouldn't be allowed, but I really didn't feel like doing my duty and telling her so.

I secretly wanted her to miss the signs that clearly said "No Electioneering within 300 feet of the polling booths", and wanted someone to have to ask her take it off. I know devious of me, but HELL what an idiot! LOL When we got in the walkway of the building, on both sides were the signs in BRIGHT RED, that said it included T-shirts, buttons etc etc. I purposely turned where I could see her to see if she was going to notice. All of a sudden she looked up and I could tell she was reading it. Then she reached down and took off her button and put it in her pocket.

Before I knew it, I let out a chuckle, that I know she had to have heard LMAO. I couldn't help it, but it gave me great satisfaction! Clearly not as much as it would have, if someone had to tell her that, but STILL!!! I was dying!

It took me 40 minutes to get up there to vote. I was so proud to cast my vote for the next President of the United States, Barack Obama!!!!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

1. I just had to wait in huge line in Ohio (republican part of Ohio though)
I thought in line I heard Obama's name several times but it probably wasn't good. My polling place is all old people who vote republican. Luckily I didn't hear what they said, because I'm so on edge I would've went off on them.

I'm getting ready to go to my college campus with my Obama shirt on! GoBama!

3. Never know holiday!
Just maybe, some of them were talking in nice ways about him. I have been pleasantly surprised here, that there are so many Obama signs around town. This is VERY RED country.

I have never felt so great about voting before in my life!

There was some loud-mouthed redneck a few yards ahead of me in line today talking to people close to him about something he heard about Obama on the news... couldn't tell what exactly he was saying.

A guy in line in front of me and my wife said to us: "I wonder if he knows that Rush Limbagh doesn't qualify as 'the news.'"

4. haha!
Some people are so gullible. I swear these people shouldn't be allowed to vote!
Rush Limbaugh definitely doesn't qualify as "the news", and good for that guy saying so!

5. A line in Oklahoma?

Really?

Longest I ever waited in line to vote was after I moved to OKC. I think for 2004 the whole process took maybe 15 minutes.

Back where I'm from, I'd literally get up, walk out the front door, cross the street, walk in that building, and cast my vote. I could do it during a commercial break. :)

8. I hear ya Roy,
I couldn't believe it either. Anytime I've voted before, I was usually able to get right in there, but not this time! It was amazing!

6. way to go, fellow Okie!
I voted early on Saturday in Norman, home of the OU Sooners - line was 3 hours. Saw a LOT of beaming faces for Obama - more than I'd anticipated!

7. No wait at the small town in Maine at 7:30 but was told their was
a line at 6. Maine has always had a sort of high rate of people voting. The ballot was not long for once. Some times it is like 'War and Peace' reading. Fact Russian names are easier than trying to figure out what some of the extra on the ballots are really saying. Who writes those things any how?

11. I always get this feeling when I read the extra on any ballot
That if I say yes to some thing I am really voting no for it.
