Go here and see...
http://blog.ourvotelive.org/

pigshits are trying to steal it again - machine malfunctions across the damn country, NO paper ballots, voters being turned away, intimidation, polling places opening LATE, etc. etc.

I CANNOT BELIEVE that the SOS's of the 50 states in the US are ALLOWED to get away with this. Not-so-oddly, many of these are SWING STATES.

We need some NASTY federal laws that reigns in these SOB SOS's and FIRES them on the spot when stuff like this occurs in their states. There ought to be a REQUIRED number of polling places and voting booths per precinct based on the number of registered voters and NO EXCUSE for not having them open on time, FUNCTIONAL and PAPER BALLOTS at the ready.

If ANYONE has to wait in line for more than ONE hour, SOMEBODY ought to be fired, right then and there and investigations launched from the Federal level.

YES, our right to vote ought to be taken THAT seriously.

What is happening right now is INEXCUSEABLE. Hell, *I* could rewrite the voting system in this country. The pigshits wouldn't LIKE it because they would NO longer be able to steal elections.

PAPER BALLOTS only, standard across the country. Election for Pres and VP SEPARATE from any other local elections or referendums. The paper ballot would be the SAME across all states.

Counted MANUALLY and double-verified and chain-of-custody STRICTLY followed and procedures regularly audited WITHOUT notice. If it takes a WEEK to get results, so be it, but it should NOT take HOURS to vote!

REQUIRED number of polling places and booths per precinct based on the number of registered voters. Open, ready and FUNCTIONAL or else heads roll.

Election Day is a Federal Holiday.

Requirement to vote:

citizen
not a felon
at least 18

NOT whether you did or didn't check a fucking box on a card. NOT whether you are homeless or poor or a minority. NOT whether your home is foreclosed. NOT whether your address matches what's on your DL. NOTHING else.

...

There is NOTHING difficult about any of this. It is NOT rocket science.

12. Add: felon who has served his/her sentence
I do not believe that's the law in all states, and if not, it should be.

18. It's not just sentence served, a felon usually has to have their rights officially reinstated
by the Gov....more or less an application process where they have it, but it is by no means automatic after a sentence is served.

16. Of course they've stolen lots of votes this time. But we are overwhelming those efforts.
Please check out the election integrity sites like www.stealbackyourvote.org or www.bradblog.com or www.velvetrevolution.us . Yes THE SAME CHEATING the Republicans have used since 2000 is still going on and election integrity groups have stopped some of the problems but not all of them.

or watch a documentary like "Stealing America: Vote by Vote" www.stealingamericathemovie.org
now available for free download.

Yes, paper ballots and random audits are required. But our election systems are run by the states, so fixing them has taken a lot of time and lots still needs doing.

WE HAVE STOPPED PERHAPS ONE THIRD OF THE REPUBLICAN DIRTY TRICKS. We hope that will be enough. We need our avalanche to get our landslide.

4. I was having this conversation with my rw BIL the other day
I told him that it is easier to vote in many banana republics than it is to vote in the US. His response was that we have more ballot measures, that's why we have the long lines, but he didn't seem very convinced of his own answer. I then told him that an industrialized nation such as the US should be prepared for a 15% higher turn-out than is expected. I then asked him why in white, republican districts there is never any problems or waits. He didn't have an answer for that and he walked away trying to figure out a response.

6. I saw something on the news this morning about reports coming in from PA
machines out of order and Virginia where someone pushed a button and it came up as the other guy.
Seriously, there wasn't enough time since 2000-08 to fix these frigging things?

7. Optically scanned paper ballots, it works in California.
There is no, I repeat, no justification for the introduction of paperless electronic or touchscreen voting machines.

The arguments made in favor of these because they allow for faster tabulation are absurd, given their expense and propensity for breakdown and mischief.

Can't the FEC get involved in those states that are fucking things up?

17. There is not effective FEC
From what I understand, the FEC is short members, and * will not appoint new ones.

This is also why McCain has gotten away with so much mischief.

21. pigshits hate any FEC oversight and they deliberately left that commission
gutted for this election. So that the GOP could get away with all their shit and nothing could be done.

19. I didn't have any problems in Detroit area
I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The only thing I didn't like was having to use a pen to fill in the bubble....it would have been easier with a pencil (don't know why they use pens). The poll workers said it was about a hour and a half wait earlier in the morning though. I'm sure the biggest waits will be in the city Detroit. I hope these weren't wide spread problems.

20. one of our optical readers wasn't tallying votes
in my precint we have 2 scan optical readers, but one wasn't tallying as each vote was entered...however, we do have scores of Election Protection people right on the scene who warned us what had happened, so those whose ballots were in the faulty reader will be hand counted.
