Fought back against offer for provisional ballot for voter I drove this morning. Got a real ballot!

Officials said he was "flagged" as needing specific type of ID which he didn't have. They wanted us to take time/spend money to go downtown and get NC pic. I asked why, but they couldn't give good explanation. We refused provisional. Told them didn't trust it would be counted. Also said requirement for photo ID that costs was like a poll tax. Democratic lawyer on site heard discussion and stood up with me. Voter got a real ballot and voted straight Democratic!!

I was one who didn't think it would really be missed by many, but when I saw it with my own eyes (voter thought voting "separate" meant she would be given a separate piece of paper") it scared the s**t out of me. Hopefully won't be too many, but we have to be vigilent here in NC.
