Is Voter Suppression Being Reported On.

I am curious there are some threads saying how there maybe voter suppression happening, any details on this. There are threads regarding problems in VA, PA. Can someone give me the details, and should we call the Obama Campaign.

1. Hi, alyce!

CNN has a hotline and they've received tens of thousands of calls. Mostly things like the spelling of a voter's name being wrong, so they have to use a provisional ballot, stuff like that.

Someone very early this morning posted about his/her polling place calling by precincts which they've never done before and s/he felt there was something hinky about it.

Haven't heard of any voter suppression charges yet, though. Interested to see what others may have to say on this.

8. they had 6 machines for our precinct today, but one of the county poll folks

told me that at 6am the machines were locked in a room that they initially had no key for - and almost were ready to break down the door to get them out! It was kind of funny.


I didn't see anyone turned away while I was there. by 10 am or so they had already had 206 voters - more than they had ever had. Granted our precincts/areas are not that large. We only had to wait about 10 minutes. Some newer voters needed more of an explanation about using the e-machines.
