steal one yard sign, FIVE new ones pop up!

some republican criminal (but i repeat myself) stole our obama yard sign, so we got FIVE new signs.
the 4 in front are for jim himes, democratic challenger to chris shays, the LAST new england congressional republican. that's gonna be a close race here in connecticut, hence the prominence.

closest to our front door is the new obama/biden sign, a good distance from the street.

note that we also posted a ferocious basset houuuuund to further guard the signs.

HAH! and to think they thought mccain would have a lock on connecticut were it not for our ONE obama sign!

8. we spent all weekend blowing leaves

and as you can see more are already coming down....

we found out last year the hard way, you can't wait until ALL the leaves are down before you start. it's just impossible, too many leaves. we had to pay some pros with several major blowers to do it.

14. LOL...we have a black & tan coonhound

The runt of the litter, so he is only about 45 lbs.
The most friendly (and protective) dog that I've ever known.
He'll bark like crazy at strangers, but as soon as he is approached, his tail starts wagging and he is ready to play.
Also the biggest slobberer (is that a word?)

we do keep her trim, under 50 pounds. female bassets will easily get to 70 pounds or more if you let them have their way.
they have no energy then, other than to eat....

after my first sign got stolen, and chained the new one up to a tree and spread vasoline all over it.

23. Someone put out signs here . . .

In our neighborhood, overnight, Obama signs just cropped up all over. Throughout the day some were run over, some stolen. I took a walk at 12:15 and saw one on the ground. I picked it up and re-planted it but by 12:50, when I was coming home, it was gone. Just gone. In this neighborhood it's been all McCain, all the time. You'd think they could let us have one day.
