Edited to finish my thought (I'm so nervous my fingers are twitchy!)...

I'm bringing little cheesecake petit fours and bite-size Hershey bars shaped like tombstones (I figure we should commemorate the demise of the Republicans ).

I also have champagne for later!

51. I have a veggie soup on the stove. All local organic stuff,
except I used Pacific mushroom broth for the liquid. It's almost too rich. I'm having it with rice, a dollop of yogurt, and Levain bread. It's good to have something to dip into when the hunger suddenly hits amidst the madness.

For now I've been having tea and water but I'm thinking of getting an early start, since I'm pretty much useless for anything else. Pine Cove bottle shop has lots of bombers of good beer. Maybe one of those within the hour. For daytime drinking I will probably pick something light, like a pilsener.

Later I will be at the official Obama party having whatever is on offer at the Radisson. Probably Sierra Nevada and some plain fries (I can't eat syrupy or cheesey bar food!)

:hi:
