My personal heresy. I'm finally tired of "Yes We Can"
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 09:54 PM by PretzelWarrior
It was powerful. It moved me. I was on board. But I would like to retire that one for a while. NOw that we do indeed know "WE CAN" we don't need to mouth that affirmation.

Instead. "WE ARE". We have much to do, but the first step was oh so huge. Now is the time after this week fo celebration to gird ourselves up to be assisting in achieving some unity in this country. A road toward redemption, and finally to making progress on some chief ills of our time. Such as health care.

1. Right there with ya. I'm also sick of "hope" and "change"
Actually, I've been sick of those for a while. My new word is "results".

7. YES!!!!! I agree. We have the cards stacked to our favor. Now CAPITALIZE
we must see demonstrable progress to all we've been waiting for and hoping for. Iraq, Civil liberties, financial woes, green house gases/global warming, and health care looming problems. All need fairly high priority and quick action.

5. I'm not. I hope that "yes we can" will continue and that WE can all be
involved in it in a practical way.
