3. Just like there is bad blood between a shark and a guppy fish
Rahm probably squished Dead Intern a few times.

7. There's got to be some history here and I too want to know more.
He has wasted no time slamming Rahm. He was probably bested by Emanual at some point and he figures it's payback time.
He's got the "dead fish" story on a repetitive endless loop. He's a snarky, sarcastic, pompous ass.
I just wrote MSNBC and said just that. Make Morning Joe into Morning Mika.

20. "playa hatin'."
Thinking the same thing, in so much that Scarborough is Scaredborough can't believe Obama's first political appointment is a tough guy, when right now the Repubs are praying for bi-partisanship, as they keep whining, "Obama promised. He promised." Plus, it must be a lot for them to get use to - this new Democratic toughness based on courage, intelligence, and knowing your enemy.

15. I was about to say.....
... can we make it a rule that the ONLY person who is allowed to be referred to as "Joe" here is....

Joe the Man
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c7/Joe_Biden,_official_photo.jpg

All other Joe's should be referred to by their last name, or preferably, a disparaging nick name.

16. Morning Joe
Ever since Rahm became CoS, it's all Joe has been talking about.

All this morning all he kept bringing up was the dead fish, then he finally let "fuck" slip while talking about Rahm.

He clearly doesn't like the guy. Which makes me love Rham even more.

17. Redneck racist bigots are not crazy about Jews either. I have
a feeling somewhere along the line Rahm may have put Joe in his place. I heard Joe say his wife would be furious with him. I heard she doesn't even watch his show...How cool is that?

18. Despite some of his DLCish nonsense Rahmbo is a good, honest Liberal.
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 09:54 AM by Odin2005
He is also a brilliant politician skilled at the fine art of twisting arms, they don't call him Rahmbo for nothin'.

Several posters have posted a chart from Ontheissues.com that puts Rahm firmly in the liberal catagory, while that same site puts Loserman on the line separating the liberal and centrist areas of the chart. This is why, though I'm no fan of the DLC, the constant bashing of DLC politicians is stupid, many DLCers are farther left then many mon-DLCers, my issues with the DLC are more with regards with political and electoral "strategy" (I think they are stick in the 80s and 90's in this regard, the Clinton presidency made them to cocky) more then anything, not policy really.

Wyldwolf, I appreciate that you and other more moderate Dems have been able to put up with some of the stupid bashing of you guys by some of us more liberal types over the years here. :hi:

21. Which Joe.. Lieberman or Biden?
Or the Plumber? Or the Morning One? Or the Six Pack One? Or Joe Mama? Or my Father-in-law?

Sorry.. there are WAYYYYYYYY to many Joe's to start a thread with just "Why does XXX hate Joe"? Must use last names.. or at least adjectives to further describe the Joe in question.

22. The dead fish stories and the dead intern stories
I googled these for those of us not yet familiar with them:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/06/uselections2008-rahm-emanuel-obama

Washington buzz has long had it that Emanuel, 48, lost half a finger on his right hand to a bomb while serving in the Israeli army. Emanuel is also said to have mailed a smelly dead fish to a campaign pollster unlucky enough to upset him.

The bomb-blast anecdote is entirely untrue - Emanuel, who has been the No 3 Democrat in the US House of Representatives since last year, severed his finger in a childhood meat-slicing accident. The widely reported rotting fish has never been confirmed.

http://www.americanpolitics.com/20010808Klausutis.html

"FORT WALTON BEACH, FL. - Lori Klausutis, a 28-year-old office worker for Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fl), was found dead in the congressman's district office. Police said preliminary findings from the medical examiner's office showed no foul play or any outward indication of suicide."

Unbelievably, that was it. The story was simply dropped. A young female employee of one of Florida's Congressmen had died unexpectedly in the Congressman's office. There were no witnesses to her death and the cause of death was not apparent. Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons.

a morning cable show that people listen too while sitting on the toilet or dressing for work.

He also has no prospects to improve his status in life. Right wing talk is now on the decline and he was never one of the big 3 (Rush Hannity Billo).

His life now sucks and he knows it.
