Bush Meets Clinton As President-Elect (FLASHBACK, SLIDESHOW)
Bush Meets Clinton As President-Elect (FLASHBACK, SLIDESHOW)

President-Elect Obama's meeting with President Bush, a meeting of two men with very different ideologies, recalls a time almost eight years ago when then-President-Elect Bush first visited the Clinton White House. The pictures below are from that meeting, which occurred later in the year (Dec. 19 2000) because of the disputed election. There's also an encounter with then-Vice President Al Gore, Bush's former opponent.

A lot sadder when the smart, classy one is the one leaving, isn't it?

1. Don't you mean "President-Select"?
Remember, Bush hadn't actually been elected at that time.

And what the hell was Gore doing there? That was pretty classy of him to show up.
