Edited on Wed Dec-10-08 09:08 AM by cali
I find the hyperbole issuing from the fringe right and the fringe left, equally lame and devoid of any intelligence. Really, they demonstrate a very similar mindset. Neither pov is about rational criticism. They're both about casting broad aspersions and seeking to delegitimize Obama in the eyes of specific large groups of voters.

Fortunately, both the fringe right and the fringe left, are meeting with no success in their attempts. But that, of course, won't stop them. And as far as I can see, what Obama does or doesn't do, has little to do with their determination to portray Obama as a corrupt/evil figure with a dasterly agenda.

3. It's pretty stupid, isn't it?
He's a politician. He's shown that.

He's not a progressive. He's not a corporate guy, he's a politician.

And that's okay. So were FDR, JFK, Nixon and Clinton. Duplicitous bastards all.

5. Rabid ideologues are the same no matter what side they are on.
Only the terminology changes. The mindset is the same.
