We need to hear his message directly without the filter put on by these jerks.

Talking heads are just that, they want to invent issues and create problems for Obama to be able to justify their existence.

The mythic "Liberal Media" (that we all know does not exist) took all the abuse from the Bush administration, whose members treated the press like feces. But now they think they have a decent, reasonable human being so they want to lower him down a peg... or a whole set of stairs. They definitely don't want anything good to happen to the almost non-existent middle class. They listen to their corporate masters who only need people to work for nothing wages so these impoverished, ignorant masses can buy poisonous cheap goods from China!

Sorry for the venting, but I am getting really disgusted!

1. You can always call and write!
Write yourself some nice letters, and start sending them out!

Some LTTEs might do some good.

When you get mad, get productive! That's what I do. :)

Extra pissed? Pick up the phone, and call. Leave a long message.

I wrote an OpEd yesterday because of how pissed I was about the media's ways. Perhaps there is something in my OpEd that you can use to help address your concerns about a "all of the sudden" rabid media. Here it is: http://www.opednews.com/articles/What-part-of--Motherf-cke-by-FrenchieCat-081213-581.html

2. Knowing that he will not be treated fairly, what exactly is the downside of a "very-limited"
interaction with the corporate media?

Just as FDR took his Fireside Chats directly to the people (via radio), could not Pres. Obama do web-casts to get his message out.

Of course, it would take discipline on the part of other Democratic politicians which we know they do not have (except in service to their corporate owners).

Obama could at least greatly reduce the access of the M$M to his administration and instead, put the information out via the web.

And at the very least, what would be the harm in freezing out Fux and the worst offenders by NEVER calling on them in press conferences and never appearing on their network? As long as he gives them access, they can pretend to have the legitimacy of a news organization. We know they will attack and lie 24/7/365 so what is to be gained by making it easier for them?

3. He already is!
By putting his speeches on YouTube, he is showing us he knows how, and he knows how important it is...

4. That has happened and it will even more
as we go on. IMO, Obama won in spite of the fascist "media" because his team is savvy enough. We can do our parts at this end by contacting the corporatemedia and calling them on what we see.

I do not watch or even have the cable but I'm thankful for those of you who can stomach it, do the recon, and call them on it.

See post # 1.
