Well, maybe if there are enough complaints Warren will get bumped.
It was rumored that it was outrage from supporters that got them to stop looking at that dude for the CIA post.

It could work again this time.

Honestly, I am almost a rabid Obama supporter and am giving him tons of slack cause he's a brother (in a white world).

But I don't like Warren. Not one bit. I feel like he ambused Barack at Saddleback.

2. Might as well. The right already hates Obama
no need having the left hate him too (more than they already seem to do). :eyes:

4. I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with that nice Rev. Warren.
Rick Warren: But the issue to me is, I知 not opposed to that as much as I知 opposed to the redefinition of a 5,000-year definition of marriage. I知 opposed to having a brother and sister be together and call that marriage. I知 opposed to an older guy marrying a child and calling that a marriage. I知 opposed to one guy having multiple wives and calling that marriage.

Steven Waldman: Do you think, though, that they are equivalent to having gays getting married?

Rick Warren: Oh I do.

Who could disagree? And his views on abortion - so steadfast! Not even the life of the mother is to interfere with saving that little fetus's life.

And it's so comforting to know that children will be taught that the earth is only 6,000 years old and any scientific comments to the contrary are ungodly.

Rick Warren is the ideal choice to symbolize Obama's connection to God. Don't you agree? Who wouldn't?

(Not to say people shouldn't keep complaining. Just blame the right people.)

9. If Warren was chosen over Obama's objections, we have a big problem.
Do you believe for one minute that Rick Warren would be giving the invocation without Obama's approval?

11. I don't know anything yet.
I just woke up to this mess and I'm trying to figure it all out. I do know, however, that this was announced today, and there is still a month before the inauguration, which is mostly planned by a body separate from the transition team.

15. Good! That's what he needs is to
hear from everybody.

I just got an email from moveon and they want members to vote on what are the most important issues for 2009 and one of the choices is Gay Rights.

16. I'm not so sure about that
It will create a media firestorm that will embolden the fundies and make Warren a hero.

Best thing Obama can do is repeal don't ask don't tell early.
