Perhaps adjustments could be made. Sadly, though, he'll still be up there, and folks will still have to suffer the stench the whole time.

2. He could uninvite him if he wanted to. Might be a good idea.

3. He could uninvite Warren ... but he won't
The stench I will smell all the way up here, and I won't be watching a minute of it.

4. Why would he want to minimize his role?
You don't invite someone to minimize them.

5. What I mean is that in retrospect he might - if he was too afraid to uninvite him.

8. Well, he can. But there certainly would be repercussions.
Grave repercussions from across the political spectrum. Weak... Flip-flopper... Caving to the left... It would get very ugly.

11. I'm not surprised that you are finding amusement, yet again, from the pain of gay people.
It delights you, doesn't it? So many opportunities to laugh at people while taking away their rights? Do you contribute to anti-gay causes or is it enough to simply laugh at us here on DU, day after day?

9. This is why:
Warren faced a firestorm by the religious right when he invited Obama to speak about AIDS back in 2006. Pro lifers and evangelicals were furious, yet Warren never uninvited Obama--despite all the pressure.

At first I thought that an email campaign could get Warren uninvited, but not after reading that story on Time.com.

7. Perhaps we can have Act Up threaten to throw condoms at Warren
The threat alone might make Warren cancel his appearance.
