Found out today I got tickets to the inauguration!!!

Got a call from my Congresswoman's office today that I got 2 tickets. I am going to pull my daughter out of school for a couple of days and head up to DC.

when the Queen signed the Canadian Constitution in Canada. Was such a special momment for me in my youth. I went with my dad.

She is 8 years old and I am not sure she understands the enormity of it yet. Her aunt (my brother's wife) is mixed race and i am going to have her sit down with my daughter and explain to my daughter what it means to her and her father's family.
