Crazy. I was online instantly at noon. anyone else?

You consistently get - no tickets available.

And you have to keep entering those distorted security words that are almost impossible to read.

Bah.

1. we're just going to have a little party
to watch it on tv. Avoid the traffic and the cold, good food and good friends.

the other bonus of my party is that my daughter wants to make Obama signs with her name on it instead. She'll be President in 32 years.

2. Me too. The minute it said Find Tickets I clicked on it
and it immediately said none were available. Finally got through on the phone a few minutes ago and she said the tickets sold out at 1:10 ET.

7. thanks - I'll stop trying. You'd think they'd post they were sold - but
guess that would be too much like right. Something fishy about this. I've been on for big events like
Yankee/Boston tickets and World Series tickets. When there are tickets available you don't get the
message there aren't. You time out instead but actually see the availability.

Bet the scalpers beat the system. I don't how with that stupid security code thing....

5. Same experience here
I actually started when my computer said 11 58 (supposedly correct time). Wanted to have a seat so I could take my 10 year old son to it. No way am I sitting along the parade route from 7 am on with him, he is too squirmy to do that anyway. I suspect it will be a madhouse anyway.

It was a hell of a lot easier to do this for Clinton's second Inaugural. Not surprise there. I sat right across the street from Marion Barry in the DC City Hall.

8. That's too bad. This inauguration is driving me crazy - if you did
it up right - you'd easily spend close to $10 grand. Not the people's event at all.

You are right -- I went to Clinton 1. I thought it was bad that we stood behind 3 people.
This will be a crush.

Are you in DC?

I was thinking the only metro u would be able to get on is the first one on the line - it will fill - so trying to get on at union station or dupont will be impossible.

12. Yep, and I refuse to spend the money
I'm in Georgia, but have friends in Bethesda who will put up with me. I still may go and just soak up the ambience from the back of the Mall. I want my son to experience it, but only if I can keep the crazyness to a tolerable level.
