I just get a vibe that leaves me uneasy. I do hope that I am wrong but my gut instinct is that she will disappoint us...

1. My gut agrees with your gut.
No particular reason for it, just that *feeling*. You know, that feeling.

8. Nite Owl, you're so right. Gut instinct has saved my ass so many times.
It is something that we all have as a survival tool from our ancestors. Seeing her body language and her facial expression just sent this wave of apprehension in my soul... I wish her well and hope she proves me wrong.

4. She's pulled a Mitt Romney on gay marriage and gun control within the past 24 hours.
No doubt she'll change her pro Bush tax cuts stance within the next 24 hours. What a political whore. I'll bet she's
envisioning a Presidential run in 2016 already.

6. Try getting elected solely in her district. We're glad she defeated Sweeney, period.

14. Which takes us back to the big arguement that raged all through the
Primary season: Is it better to lose over and over as Democrat and eventually win, or is it better to win the first time as a DINO?

I have no idea where Ms Gillibrand fits on that spectrum, btw, just pointing out the problem.

5. She was elected then re-elected. I don't see a problem.
I won't be disappointed because I'm from Indiana and she represents NY. The gov did what he deemed best. Works for me.

9. I fully apologize for all the harsh criticism I gave about Kennedy. She would now be "a Godsend"
I was played ... LET myself be PLAYED by the Pro-DLC Clinton/Schumer forces that focused on taking Caroline Kennedy down.

I'm truly sorry that Caroline Kennedy did not get this Senate Seat.

Yes, it hurts ... a lot, but I was WRONG to not support Kennedy. :(

13. Caroline will be OK, I think that she will re-emerge in a near future, but I feel bad
for New York since Gillibrand just sucked in her debut...I do not trust her and her associates. I hope that I am wrong.

23. Yes, I kept scratching my head when I found myself agreeing with those who were
very "die hard" HRC supporters in the primaries.

It's a DLC power grab ... and I helped. :(

16. But at least she's not Caroline Kennedy.
Caroline Kennedy would have been her own person, beholden to no one but the American Public. Oh the horror, perish the thought.
Great job DailyKOS and you other geniuses that were so anti Kennedy.

Has anyone else noticed how the Clintonites are getting rewarded while the Obama supporters, well let's just say no good deed goes unpunished....

Sometimes I have to remind myself who won the election (especially after seeing the Clintons front and center with the Obamas on Wednesday morning).

When the going gets tough (and it will) how supportive do you think the Clintonites will be of Obama and how willing will the non-Clintonites be to stick their neck out in his defense?
