Is it just me, or....
These people calling Washington Journal, one guy is talking about how the abortion rate is highest among 25-35 age group, and that these aren't yong girls making mistakes. He then goes on to talk about the "taxpayer" shouldn't have to pay for these abortions. So then does that mean he wants to pay for welfare or aid for single mothers? These people don't make any sense to me.

2. No, the guy wants to keep every nickel he ever made
have someone else pay his bills and take his money with him when he goes to heaven, which he is ticketed for he is sure.
And, by God, he wants to teach them women a lesson. That if you have sex there are consequences, by God.
No, he wants to see the baby born and then mother and child live in abject poverty or starve to death to teach them a much deserved lesson!

6. People like that person make me sick. Just make me want to puke
We stand and fall as a community. Yet the USA and the RW in particular has this 'everybody for themselves' ideal that they haul out when it seems someone is about to take a nickel from them. Especially taxes. They have this concept in their mind that they got to their exalted positions all on their own ability alone. This is of course total bullshit and fantasy.
Yet these are the same people who gather in packs to save their asses and perpetuate their myths. They join chambers of commerce, country clubs, the republican party, churches that parrot their beliefs. Yet should some lowly worker dare try to join a union these folks bring down the wrath of hell on them.
The ones that really make me sick are those who are poor workers and yet believe the fantasy sold to them by the rich folks. And in so doing betray their own.
And as for abortion. I can't rember which female comedian used to say it, but her line was "If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament."

8. So true.
The right wing glorifies the individual over the community, stupidly ignoring the fact that the individual is nothing without the construct of a community to live in.

In Jared Bernstein's book, "All Together Now: Common Sense for a Fair Economy" he talks about the difference between the right & the left. The YOYOs, Your On Your Own, don't believe in a shared safety net, but rather that each individual should provide their own safety net. The WITTs, We're In This Together, realize that it is more economical & fair for everyone to contribute to a social safety net. He states that in a just society, there is no limit to how far one can climb, but there is a limit to how far one can fall.

7. Yeah, these supposed "right to lifers" don't want their tax money going to support abortions
but they have no problems with my tax dollar going to support their wars and their corporate welfare whores.

So, when do I get to say my tax dollars shouldn't be used for their illegal fake wars and welfare to their multi-million dollar CEOs?
