'Air Force One' National Geographic Special Review
Well it was so lame and uninteresting that I removed the recording, NG ran a short commercial of Pres. Obama all week but sold us 56min of Bush. If I were to engage in a conversation there's nothing other than the plane travels 600 mph worth talking about.

1. Thanks!
I had it set to record on my DVR. Since it is mostly Bush, I will remove that programming...which is my area is airing in 90 minutes, here in the Pacific Time Zone.

The last thing I want to be remind it of, is who just left....cause I already know, and I'm trying to forget him for now.

3. I watched the beginning and turned it off and stopped the recording..
they sold it with Obama but then pulled a shrub fest on me....well at least they tried. I wasn't watching that ass pretending to be in danger on 911.

6. I was disappointed with it, too
Didn't like having to listen to Bush. And that trip to Baghdad seemed like such a grandstanding thing to do, putting everyone on board in danger.

The thing I wanted to see was will it keep President Obama safe, and I'm slightly less terrified about overseas journeys on Air Force One for President Obama than I was before.

It continued, for those who didn't keep watching, with an hour on the helicopter, which I left at about the half-hour mark.

7. thanks
I was going to watch just because I'd get to see a fancy airplane, but something came up. Glad I didn't miss much.

But why is anyone surprised it was all bush? Obama has been on the thing what, once? And that was this week! Where the hell did people THINK they'd get footage? From the Carter admin? Sheesh!

8. I am finding it very interesting.....
..... but I'm a Presidential junkie regardless. (and while I've only seen the last 10 mins, no sign of Bush)

And of course added to that the fact that I spotted the camera crew with Barack as he flew in from Chicago (not realizing exactly why they were shooting) and have been waiting for that footage ever since.

So medium well on the burger huh? Makes sense.

10. And the story of what happened on 9/11 is a must see.
(at least I think so)

But what was up with the former pilot saying, "the terrorist beat us" (referring to that particular day.) No one should ever admit that even if it is true .. especially not a military dude.

11. .
I thought it was pretty interesting, although I would have liked to see more about the security preparations for Air Force one with respect to the generally heightened security surrounding Obama and also how the crew prepares for switching between Presidents. :(

Well maybe we can have another special in like 6 months or so.

13. I think about it as the services Pres Obama will receive. Pretty informative stuff
In the Marine One segment, the sequence with the precision landing on the White House South Lawn was cool.

I want to see the Air Force One jacket with "Barack H. Obama" stitched on it. :-)

I'll actually enjoy watching news coverage of the President boarding and leaving his aircraft now!

16. Yeah it basically sucked
A large chunk of the show was the behind-the-scenes story of the plastic turkey delivery in 2003.

I was left with even more rage than I had in 2003 over the plastic turkey delivery in Iraq. These fine men and women who serve the POTUS in one of the most extreme capacities an American can did that whole, complicated and expensive thing well, but for what? A political PR campaign for citizens who started to show flagging support of the war. The whole episode was as nauseating as "Mission Accomplished"
