Obama to sit down with FIVE Network News Anchors Tomorrow.
.... and I wont be home to watch it.

Seriously, HOW am I supposed to Tivo that!!!! What were you thinking Barack!!!! :)

Wall-to-wall sales pitch: Obama will sit down Tuesday with anchors from all five TV networks -- ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX and NBC – to rally public support for his stimulus plan. The tag-team session kicks off about 3:30 p.m., and everyone gets 10 minutes apiece. –Josh Gerstein (8:36 p.m.)

5. Yep and unlike that Palin woman.....
.... he completely respects and understands the importance of good relations with the media.

There's a bit in his book (Audacity) about it .... about how valuable TV time is and how cost effective it is if you can simply BE the news instead of having to pay for commercial time.

As long as I live I will NEVER forget that Palin woman bashing the press during her RNC speech and sitting there with my mouth hanging open wondering what she was thinking.

or heard that JFK spoke over the heads of the media to the people - like FDR did with his fireside chats. This is an excellent use of Obama's time.

6. Gotta hand it to them (again). Brilliant. Again.
Talk about making great use of the media-- once again, with firm, clear conviction, just as he did thoughout the campaign, Obama demonstrates what leadership means. TALK TO THE PEOPLE-- clear, direct and unscripted (imagine Bush ever attempting this?).

Pinch me. I still haven't adjusted to having the smart team running the show.

38. anyone else will get totally trashed on the limbaugh radio networks
dems have often been critical of their reps while ignoring the GOP coordinated attacks coming from 1000 radio stations- not getting their backs - that's what obama was saying by taking talk radio on.

dem reps don't get coverage or have to go on opposite GOP hacks who recite limbaugh and sons prechewed and absurd talking points that seem legit and are ignored by 'moderators' only because they've been pounded into 60 million ear holes every week

Now if you're not sold on the stimulus package, then you should take time to watch what he says. He's out there doing a sales job...trying to get the positive PR and put pressure on the handful of repugnicans Senators he needs to pass the plan. By doing this, he'll ensured to be Story #1 on the news...over any GOOP spin or stunt. Many here have been critical of him letting the GOOP frame the message, this is his way of fighting back.

41. He must be giving FAUX a little test run to see if they are going
to be their usual unfair and unbalanced selves. Thats it O, give' em a shot to do the right thing, then give them the boot when they prove that they are still a right wing propaganda hate machine.

I have been calling for a total boycott of Faux news by our elected Dem's, and have been chastised for various reasons here. Not that I was to concerned about being chastised, but this ought to be very interesting how FAUX news handles this opportunity to work with our President. Either they are going to prove me right or wrong, we shall see if the nay sayers about boycotting are correct that we need to reach out to the bush bots that watch that garbage.

Let's see the Republicans try to fillebuster the bill.Obama needs to get to the Public this Is about helping the economy.Republicans
are being able to say to the netwrks only 8 percent of the bill would help the economy. And It Is time the public gets more info Republicans just want more Bush Tax cuts which helped get us where we are now.Obama has tax cuts but his are for the working class like he promised. They want to say they don't pay Taxes. And of course reporters don't challenge this.

being about Daschle.

Just flipped through all the channels and of course they are taking him off message.

It's still on...hopefully they'll let him get to the stimulus package.

But Obama's handling it well.
