An Idea: Maybe Obama should say "You want totally free markets? You got 'em" and walk away from it

Listening to the nitwit advocates of right-wing Pirate Capitalism -- from Rush to Hannity to GOP Congress to the CNBC shills -- this idea came to me.

(No this is not a truly serious idea. It's idiotic. But in moments of frustration, it almost seems to make sense.)

Hannity and Limbaugh and other right-wing boobs rant on about how Obama is a Socialist! and his agenda is to have government take over everything and destroy capitalism and individual initiative.

Meanwhile the morons at places like CNBC who were cheerleaders for the "Winner Take All -- Fuck Everyboidy Else" Casino for the last 30 years are in full whine mode about how Obama and the Democrats are hurting poor little Wall St.

And of course, the GOP Boobies in Congress are just saying "No to everything but tax cuts."

Here's my simple idea.

The country and the economy has not yet been totally destroyed by the mentality and policies that these morons pushed for 30 years. We're on the ropes, but there's still life in the economy.

Simple common sense indicates that SOMETHING has to be done to change this downward trajectory. People may disagree on the specifics, but one thing is clear -- We can't cure the headache by hitting ourselves on the head with the same old hammer.

But that's what the boneheads like Rush, etc. seem to want us to do.

They think somehow that a disease like cancer has the miraculous power to cure itself. "Let free markets continue to run without interference. Keep government out of everything.Don't spend government money. That is what we need to do, instead of this radical Socialism of the Democrats."

So, maybe Obama should let them have their way. Take the advise of Rush and Hannity. Maybe he should just withdraw all proposals and interventions, and let the GOP continue to indulge in their free market fantasies.

In other words, let the economy die. Let the whole House of Cards collapse.

Then amidst the rubble we can rebuild something better. What is left of the GOP and CONservative movement will have finally proven how stupid they are, and other the 2/3 of the nation can send them off into oblivion.

1. I'd agree partially - I'd walk away from the AIG's of the world certainly.
Instead of bailouts to all these financial people, with no strings, why not just send all Americans (we have social security numbers - they could do this) some cash? We'll decide where to spend it. Secure the "main street" banks (the FDIC backed accounts), beef up medicare (and lift the age restriction), and beef up unemployment payments. Let the "market" burn.

I like the idea of looking after normal people and letting the elites fend for themselves. They have enough money - let them bail themselves out. If Rush Limbaugh (and what does he make - several million a year?) wants to save billionaires, thinks it's so critically important, let the asshole spend some of his own money on it.
