What are they going to say if Obama's policies work out exactly the way he planned?
Edited on Thu Mar-05-09 06:29 PM by ProSense
The economy recovers, jobs (including green jobs) are created, Americans get affordable healthcare, the nation's infrastructure begins to be modernized and the country becomes less dependent on oil.

The detractors are crying for moderation, spinning socialism and lying about big government and everything else. What will they say when Obama's "New Deal" works?

21. It was totally the Bush tax cuts that did it. Hell, maybe it was even Bush's
and Reagan's tax-cuts somehow reaching some sort of standing wave, where together they did it. Of course Obama almost derailed the whole thing.

4. id imagine
they will just act like they supported it all along and expect people to forget the past however many years it takes...

they seem to think if they change what the are saying and ignore questions from the past, somehow that makes it irrelevant and non-existent.

the whole republican strategy the last 7-8 years has been deny deny deny unless it benefits you and if denying it doesnt work, just ignore it and pretend it never happened..eventually people will stop asking questions about it because you arent answering

5. what they're doing now, I guess.
They're nit-picking and ignoring the big picture. Wailing about how much the national debt will increase. Fortunately the American people are in a whole different place. So let them whine on.

6. That "the economy would have fixed itself" ... they're already practicing that one.
Rove .... Buchanan .... one of those guys said "and if the economy is better in two years, it may because that it fixed itself, we'll never know for sure."

And that was my FIRST clue that the President was on the right path. What he's doing will work .... and they KNOW it.

9. And if mccain-palin
had somehow stolen the election..we'd be giving more tax cuts to the 2 %ers..killing more people in Iraq, scrapping Health Care, Education, The Arts, Vocano monitoring, Infrastucture, ect, ect, ect..and the repuke head cheezes on cnn et al could sit back say "we'll do nothing".

But, it's not their fucking time.

Why, it would have been solved so much sooner if McLame/Failin had won.

10. That maybe a given, but there are
Democrats among the group crying for moderation. Collectively, with the Republicans, they're doing their best to water down policies. Some of them will be happy with a bandaid when what's needed is a tourniquet, or in some cases, life support and a radical new plan for going forward.

they'll try to sell the idea that the economy was already "poised" to begin a recovery because of the wise policies of the prior administration. Same bullshit over and over.

17. They will claim that the economy suffered longer than it needed to b/c of Obama,
and that the worst of it was caused by Obama. Then they will claim that we are all now Socialists.

Then Mitt Romney will eat a live puppy on camera, and they will say it was all a "DemocRAT" party conspiracy that made them do it.

24. Clintons 93 budget helped fuel the growth in the 90s and balance the budget
The GOP both ignored it and took credit for it. If Obama's agenda works they'll do the same thing. Either ignore it or take credit for it.

That's what they used to explain the good economy under Clinton, exposing not only their ignorance of the trickle-down theory but also economics in general.
