Why I like Obama so much..

Is that he does not twist the facts to fit his politics. He deals with what is there.

I know some in here have wanted Geithners head on a pitchfork. To be honest with you, what they are trying to do in DC is beyond my pay grade to fully comprehend, But the plan is finally out.

So now this is reality.

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney.com) -- The Treasury Department unveiled its long-awaited plan to remove many of the troubled assets from banks' books Monday, representing one of the biggest efforts by the U.S. government yet to tackle the ongoing financial crisis.

Under the new so-called "Public-Private Investment Program", taxpayer funds will be used to seed partnerships with private investors that will buy up so-called toxic assets backed by mortgages and other loans.

1. Its a bit above my pay grade as well. I have no background in
economics but have been trying to really educate myself since the economy collapsed. I am surprised by what I can understand as I was never good in math in high school. I guess its never too late to get a crash course in economics.

3. What does the plan being out have to do with not twisting facts?
You can still spin the facts.

4. That was about Obamas approach in general..
He takes the facts and deals with them.. Unlike the Bushites, who twisted the facts to fit their politics.

Case in point.. have the military budget as an add on so it did not reflect the true factor of how much we were spending.

Just a quick example.

As to the plan.. well there was a lot of conjecture on what the Obama team was doing or not doing and the it was not even out yet.

Now people can correctly make assessments on what the plan actually is rather than what the politics of what it might be are or are not
