60 Minutes interview="punch drunk" laughter, and ESPN=a big waste of time/ignoring the economy. It's a good thing every time Obama's on tv, a record number of people WATCH him rather than counting on the "liberal" media to "sum it up" for them. :eyes:

1. This seems to be a new tactic by the M$M.
Since their "Is Obama risking overexposure?" meme didn't prevent Obama from doing these shows, they've decided to portray the interviews as a mistake by only focusing on a single remark or segment that came off poorly. If they refuse to honestly report on the interviews, then maybe he'll quit doing them and let the M$M filter his message to the American people instead.

3. Exact;y...
I'm so glad he doesn't let the opinions of the media pundits influence his actions.

2. The conservatives on a board I frequent
said that we liberals did the same thing with Bush--pounced on his mispronunciations and just looked at them. I bit my tongue, because I didn't want to provoke a fight. But I wanted to share this with you--to show how conservatives view this. Oh, and they talk on and on about the "liberal bias" on TV shows.

4. We pounced on Bush because he's STUPID. And I still don't understand
how ANYONE can claim there's a liberal bias in the media. Don't they WATCH it?

5. I'm not sure
I do try and be polite to them, because it isn't a political board, though politics creeps in occasionally.

6. You should "politely" ask them then.
Nothin' wrong with that! :D

8. Just came from there
and the one was saying they hoped Obama would SOLVE the mess we're in and wished him all the best! So you can see why I'm not saying too much to alienate them. Of course, another is saying that Obama's positive polls have fallen below Jimmy Carter's at the same time in his Presidency. Don't know if that is true or not, but I did say I felt the polls at the end of the time in office are more telling than those at the beginning, and the person agreed with me.

9. Hmm...
Well, I guess the one poster is ok. :D I saw a Gallup poll about a week ago or less that I THINK said Obama is equal to or above the other recent presidents in approval rating which is GREAT since he has already done so many things and passed controversial legislation.

7. "At least *bush wasn't arrogant like Obama." Yes, I actually read that
on a conservative site. That did it for me...won't make the same mistake again by visiting another conservative board.
