Thank. God. This man is the president.
If you want Obama to fail, then you are kind of saying that you want America to fail.

1. The only problem with your post is the words "kind of".

2. exactly, I think our Congress needs to grow up and we all
need to get this country back, 8 years of crap or longer have trashed this country and we have to get it back. Obama said he will be PERSISTENT. Yes.

5. If Obama "fails" it will not be because of his actions or directives, but
because of outside forces beyond his control. This man is brilliant and just what we need (and have needed for decades). I don't expect him to turn everything to sunshine and rainbows - but I adamantly believe that he is the best president we could have - regardless of circumstances - but especially in times of multiple national crises.

If he can't fix things, it won't be because he failed. It'll be because it was either sabotaged or impossible. He doesn't have a magic wand, even though his adversaries like to pretend so.

And by the way - he uses a teleprompter because he's REALLY FREAKING BUSY!! (sorry for the caps). He doesn't have time to ad-lib every single time he speaks. The stakes are too bloody high and he knows it. This is such an irrelevant issue. Sadly, I'm not surprised that Gregory addressed it as if it was somehow legitimate... (well - I'm guessing - I didn't see the full statement).

7. Rudy? Is that you
 Just kidding. I just can't shake that Rudy quote after 9-11 when he woke up every day saying Thank God George Bush is our President. I am glad that Obama is our President too. :hi:

8. It was a sneering, snotty way to rub in the 2000 election after 9/11
"Ha, ha! We won. Bush gets to be popular now, and do anything he wants. People are going to forget all about the election, etc."

10. Honestly, can you imagine if McCain/Palin had stolen the election?
It's the most frightening thought ever. We'd probably be in a new-q-ler war with Iran by now.

12. It would be the only way they could distract us from the economic
meltdown. Go bomb some people.

13. Exactly what I was thinking. Their solution to this much attention on
bad business practices would be MASS distraction with a war that would fill up all the air time of the Corporate Media. Also they know the majority of people always oppose their policy so they need wars, specifically war time powers, to get their negative agenda made into policy.

14. Yup, Rush Limbaugh hopes America will fail.
Obama has two choices. Play it safe and tinker around the edges or fight for fundamental change. I say grab for the brass ring.
